The main home combines traditional character with modern architecture, anchored by a kitchen and living space designed for connection and entertaining. Every element, from the flow of materials to the recessed and floating timber beams on both the main entrance and recreational building, reflects meticulous design and an extraordinary attention to detail shared between Ashmore and the homeowners.
Across the grounds from the main home, a dedicated recreation building extends the living experience. It includes a fully equipped bar, entertainment area, pool table and an indoor-outdoor cooking and dining zone, creating a space made for gathering and enjoyment. Thoughtfully positioned, it feels independent yet perfectly in harmony with the main residence.

the process
A unique vision to create separate yet cohesive living areas formed the crux of the design process in Garristown. An adjoining one-bedroom cottage completes the composition, offering guests privacy and comfort in a self-contained retreat. Together, the three buildings form a considered whole, blending heritage, landscape and contemporary design into a single, cohesive home that feels both expansive and intimate.
